Relationship & Marital Mediation
As we all know, marriage and relationships involve a myriad of decisions and negotiations. Marital and relationship mediation can help partners who want to stay together make decisions about how they will work together as a couple in the future. We come together to understand what your goals are, what your commitment is, and to define the issues that can be addressed with an agreement.
Mediation differs from therapy in that it is future-oriented. The focus is not on gaining insight into why something occurred, but rather to agree to change behaviors. Like other kinds of mediation, the process is voluntary and confidential, and is driven by the relevant parties themselves. Assuming you reach an agreement, you and your partner decide the terms. You can also decide whether you would like the agreement formalized, like a post-nuptial agreement, or to remain as an informal understanding between you.
Breaking up is hard to do. Sometimes mediation is a good way to stay together.
