Our New Calculator!

December 28, 2015 By Joy Rosenthal

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new spousal maintenance and child support calculator, created and updated by my ace paralegal, Andrew Boehmke, under the auspices of Rosenthal Law & Mediation.  Not only does it include the provisions of the new New York State maintenance bill, but it also includes other features to make it more user friendly.

This calculator, like the last one, includes the text of the actual statute if you click on the § sign by each section.  It includes a toggle switch asking whether there are children of the marriage because there are actually 2 different formulas used.  It also includes improvements to section that estimates the adjusted income, and a summary and print function at the bottom.  There is also a feedback section at the bottom – we welcome your feedback!  Please tell us how it is working for you and if you have any comments or suggestions.

Please remember that the calculator is solely provided to give legal information – only a family law attorney who is familiar with your specific situation can give you legal advice.   We do not claim to know what a judge would order if your case were to go to court – we can only help you understand what tools that judge would be using to make such a determination.

Hope this will help get 2016 off to a good start!
