We advise foster parents about their rights and obligations with respect to the children in their care and advocate for them in matters with local and state agencies. Fair Hearings
Fair Hearings enable foster parents to challenge decisions made by local or state agencies. If you believe that an agency decision is having or will have an adverse effect on your foster child or on your ability to care for that child, you do not have to accept it without a fight. Often, the agency does not have all the facts, and foster parents have a difficult time breaking through the extensive beauracracy of social services agencies. We can help.

Subsidies
Foster children are entitled to subsidies to help cover the expenses associated with their care. In addition, adoption subsidies are available when parents adopt certain hard-to-place foster children. State and federal subsidies are available for both maintenance and medical expenses. Your local social services agency will help you apply for various subsidies. If you don't understand the process, or disagree with agency determinations, we can help.
